1. Perused the instruction forwarded by the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), Barrackpore, North 24-Parganas signed on 9^th February, 2026. It appears therefrom that the petitioner has been placed in an English medium school on temporary basis to manage the crisis of teacher in Work Education.

2. Specific case of the petitioner is that she is not fluent in English language and it is not possible for her to manage the students of English medium school.

3. Learned advocate for the petitioner has produced a list of four Bengali medium schools where there is vacancy in the Work Education subject.

to apply his mind and take a decision considering the difficulty faced by a Bengali medium student to handle classes in English medium school.

5. The subject of the petitioner may be Work Education but she is supposed to speak in English in an English medium school. The petitioner has expressed her inability to speak fluently in English language.

6. The District Inspector of Schools ought to consider that the petitioner was initially appointed in a Bengali medium school and if, at all, the petitioner is required to be transferred in any other school then, the transferee school should necessarily be a Bengali medium school.

7. Practically it may be very difficult for a student of the Bengali medium school to teach in English medium school.

8. The list of four schools handed over by the learned advocate for the petitioner is handed over to the learned advocate representing the District Inspector of Schools for taking a decision in the matter.

9. Re-list the matter for further consideration on 2^nd March, 2026.

10. Leave is granted to the advocate-on-record of the petitioner to implead the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), Barrackpore, North 24- Parganas as party respondent in the instant writ petition. Service of a copy of the writ petition upon the the State is represented by the learned advocate.

11. All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
