1. Let affidavit-of-service, as filed in Court, be kept on record.
2. The petitioner is a student of B.Sc. (Honours) at the Gour Banga University. She took admission in the 2021-22 Session and ought to have passed out with a degree in 2023.
3. However, the petitioner was unable to clear the Advanced Algebra Paper and appeared in two supplementary examinations for the same. However, she was unable to successfully clear the supplementary examinations as well.
4. The petitioner had been taken seriously ill during the course of the supplementary examinations and was admitted to the hospital on account whereof she was unable to clear her paper and appear in the examinations.
5. Ms. Bhowal, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner, submits that the petitioner ought to be given one further chance, as stipulated in the guidelines prescribed by the University Grant Commission (in short “UGC”).
