The petitioner no. 1, a company registered under the Companies Act, 1956 and petitioner no. 2, the Director of the said company, have filed this Criminal Revisional application under Section 401 read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as ‘CrPC’), seeking for quashing of the proceedings being CS 41478 of 2017 for the alleged commission of offence punishable under Sections 420/406/422/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, pending before the Court of the Learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 19th Court at Calcutta.
