The applicant has filed the present application challenging the rejection of his application for grant of compassionate appointment. He has sought for the following reliefs :

“It is therefore respectfully prayed that this Hon’ble Court may be graciously pleased to admit this writ application, issue rule NISI in the nature of a writ of Certiorari/Mandamus directing the opp. parties to show cause as to why the communication vide Annexure-10 shall not be quashed and further direct the opp. parties to appropriately consider the representation of the petitioner vide Annexure-8, dt. 16.2.99 and in the event, the opposite parties failed to show cause or show insufficient cause the said rule be made absolute and quash the communication made to the mother of the petitioner in Annexure-10 and accept the representation of the petitioner vide Annexure-8, and after holding him eligible necessary order be passed holding him suitable to a post to which he is entitled to depending upon his educational qualification and suitability.

And any other writ/writs, order/orders, direction /directions be passed as deem fit and proper.
