Mr. .M. I. Dar, learned counsel for the applicants and Mr. B. D. Singh, DAG for the respondents were present and heard.
Facts Learned counsel for the applicants submitted that the applicants were appointed with the respondents department as Para Medical Staff on academic arrangement basis under the J&K Medical & Dental Education (Appointment on Academic Arrangement Basis) Rules, 2009 under SRO 384/2009 dated 14.12.2009, for a period of one year extendable up to a maximum of four years, one year at a time, subsequently extended up to 06 years by SRO 409/2013 dated 19.9.2013, subject to their good performance and conduct or till selection or promotion is made according to the Recruitment Rules governing the field, whichever is earlier.
The term of their engagement was extended on the basis of recommendation and satisfactory work. The applicants were working for about 06 years. The applicants filed a Writ Petition No. 1718/2017 before the Hon’ble High Court for a direction to the respondents to regularize their services. The said petition came up for hearing before the Hon’ble High Court on 8.11.2016 and Hon’ble High Court passed
