The applicant had applied for the post of Postman/ Male Guard in response to Notification dated 23.12.2015 issued by the Chief Post Master General, West Bengal Circle. The applicant had applied for the said post and had appeared in the written test held for recruitment for the said post. However, vide Order dated 12.2.2018, the selection process for recruitment for the post of Postman/ Mail Guard was cancelled. Some of the candidates who were selected on the basis of performance in the written test had filed an Original Application being O.A. 274 of 2018 before this Tribunal. This Tribunal had disposed of the Original Application vide Order dated 11.09.2019 and being aggrieved by the same Union of India preferred a Writ Petition being WPCT 149 of 2019. The said petition was disposed of by the Hon’ble High Court on 25.08.2020 directing the Chief Post Master General, West Bengal Circle to segregate the tainted and untainted candidates and to offer of employment to the untainted candidates.
