This is an application for grant of family pension on the ground of disability of the applicant.
2. Facts in brief are that the applicant is the son of the family pensioner by the name of Mohammed Khaja Shaikh. Mohammed Khaja Shaikh was the Railway employee, who died on 28th May, 1969. After his death, his wife Smt. Chandbee Mohammed Khaja Sheikh started getting family pension. She expired on 18th June, 2006.
3. The applicant met with an accident in the year 2002, as a result of which, his right leg was amputated from below the knee. Therefore, he became permanently physically disabled. He had obtained disability certificate from Gulbarga, Karnataka on 05th November, 2015. The applicant made application for family pension on 04th May, 2017. The office of Divisional Railway Manager advised the applicant to submit documents in support of his claim. The applicant had obtained medical certificate from Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Civil Hospital, Solapur on 26th February, 2016 which indicates that the applicant has 70% permanent, non- progressive disability, which is not likely to improve.
