ORDER

The instant petition has been filed by the applicants seeking for the following reliefs: 

“8.1 To set aside and quash the impugned Provisional Empanelled Candidate List to the post of Assistant Station Master and Goods Guard vide bearing No. E/227/216/Rectt (RRC) GDCE dated 04.05.2017 published by the Respondent No. 2.

8.2 To direct the Respondent No. 2 to modify the impugned Provisional Empanelled Candidate List to the post of Assistant Station Master and Goods Guard dated 04.05.2017 by issuing necessary corrigendum to the aforesaid list as per norms and procedure.

8.3 To pass any other appropriate order (s) as to may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.

8.4 Cost of the application.

2. As per the applicants, they are serving as Group ‘D’ employees in different Offices under the N.F. Railway. The applicant Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11 & 12 belong to OBC category; applicant No. 4 belongs to ST category and applicant Nos. 8, 9, 10 and 11 belong to General Category.
