The present OA has been filed by the applicants, who are 7 in number, seeking regularization to the post of Lab Technician in the Delhi Jal Board.

2. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicants were appointed on different dates on contractual basis and have been serving the respondents since then. They are aggrieved that the representations submitted to the respondents in this regard by their union and also by the applicants themselves, have not been considered. Instead, the learned counsel submits that recently, the respondents have sent a requisition to the DSSSB who in turn has issued the vacancy notice vide Advertisement No. 1/25 calling for applications from eligible candidates for direct recruitment to the said post. He submits that the applicants are aggrieved that if direct recruitment to the said post are allowed, then the applicants who had been serving the respondents
