Per: SURESH KUMAR BATRA MEMBER (J):-

1. The present Original Application has been filed by the applicant under Section 19 of the Administrative Tribunals Act , 1985 seeking the following relief:-

(i) The respondents be directed to revise the pay scale of the applicant and to fix his pay scale @ 1/30th of the pay at the minimum of the relevant pay scale as admissible to a regular Group D employee w.e.f. 01-01-2006 or the date of his joining, whichever is later. Further, to revise the pay scale of the applicant with effect from 01-01-2016 as per the recommendations of 7th Central Pay Commission @ Rs. 18000/-

(minimum pay of Level-I of the pay matrix).

(ii) The respondents be directed to disburse the arrears of pay along with interest @ 18%

2. The facts of the case, in brief, are that the applicant had joined the service of respondents as 'Waterman' (Group D) in the office of Respondent No.6 on 01.09.2007. The antecedents of the applicant had been included at Sr. No.480 in the seniority list of casual/ daily wage workers prepared by Respondent No.4 (Annexure A-1).
