1. The SWP No.2173/2009 was transferred from the Hon’ble High Court of Jammu & Kashmir at Jammu and was registered as T.A No.9119/2020 by the Registry of this Tribunal.

2. The present matter was filed before the Hon’ble High Court seeking following relief: -

a) “FOR ISSUANCE OF WRIT OF CERTORARI QUASHING THE SELECT LIST ISSUED BY RESPNDENT NO.3 VIDE ITS ORDER NO. 701 OF 2009 DATED 12-11-2009 TO THE EXTENT OF RESPONDENTS NO. 8 TO 142 FIGURING AT S.NO. 149 TO 274 FOR THE POST OF CONTABLE IN OPEN MERIT CATEGORY.

b) QUASING THE ORDER OF RESPONDENT NO.2 VIDE NO. 572 OF 2009 DATED 17.2.2009 BY VIRTUE OF WHICH HE HAS CONSTITUTED TWO PARALLEL SELECTION BOARDS.

c) ALSO FOR ISSUANCE OF WRIT OF MANDAMUS DIRECTING THE OFFICIAL RESPONDENTS TO CONSIDER FOR SELECTION AND APPOINTMENT OF THE PETITIONER AS CONSTABLE.

d) Any other writ, order, direction or command which this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case may also be issued in favour of the petitioner.
