In the present Original Application (O.A.) filed under Section 19 of the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985, the applicant has sought for the following relief(s):-
“(i) Direct the Respondents to consider the case of the Applicant herein in the EWS category and allow her to join duties to the post of constable (female) with Delhi Police that is Respondent No.2;
(ii) Pass any other order or orders as may deem fit in the facts and circumstances of this case in the interest of justice.”
Highlighting the facts of the case, learned counsel for the applicant submitted that pursuant to Advertisement dated 01.09.2023 inviting applications for filling up 2491 vacancies (including UR–1502, EWS–268, OBC–142, SC–429, and ST–15) from women candidates out of a total of 7547 posts of Constable in Delhi Police, the applicant being eligible applied under the EWS category. She appeared in the written examination held on 15.11.2023 and secured 60.18683 marks, as per the result declared on 31.12.2023. She was thereafter called for the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PEMT) and document verification on 18.01.2024.
