1.It is the case of the applicants (five in number) that on 10.01.2024, Resp. No.4 issued notification inviting application for holding examination for filling up of 11 posts of Chief Loco Inspector (CLI) [UR-8, SC-2, ST-1] in Level-7 (PB-II, Rs. 9300- 34,800/-) with GP Rs. 4600/- against 100% DPQ in Electrical (OP), Department of Sambalpur Division. The last date of submission of application was fixed to 31.01.2024. Written test was held on 14.09.2024, 18.09.2024 and 21.09.2024. Resp. No.4 published the result of the written test on 16.10.2024. Railway Board issued instruction on 05.03.2025 for cancellation of certain selections, which was subsequently clarified vide letter dated 28.03.2025 that where written examination held on or before 04.03.2025 shall be finalized. Since, the further process of the selection in question, did not reach its finality, the applicants submitted representations on 22.05.2025 to Resp. No.3 requesting completion of selection and issuance of promotion orders. On 26.05.2025 Railway Board issued RBE No. 19/2025 for holding computer based written examination for departmental promotions and corrigendum vide RBE No. 47/
