1. The applicant has approached this Tribunal under Section 19 of the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985, praying for the following relief(s):

“A. An order be passed directing the respondent No. 2 and 3 to issue offer of appointment to the applicant for the post of Sub-Inspector (Executive) (Male) in the vacant posts under the unreserved category in terms of the vacancy notice dated 09/05/2023 issued by the respondent No. 2.

B. An order be passed directing the respondent authorities to transmit the original records of the case before this Hon'ble court, so that after perusing the same conscionable justice may be rendered to the applicant.

C. Any other relief or relief's, order or orders, direction or directions as your Honour deem fit and proper”

2. Facts of the case are as follows:-

Police Department of Andaman & Nicobar Islands notified 42 vacancies of Sub Inspector (Executive) on 09/05/2023. 18 of these vacancies were in UR category and 3 in EWS category.
