The instant Review Applications have been filed by Kafait

Hussain against the order dated 01.09.2025 passed by this

Tribunal in T.A. No. 61/218/2024 c/w T.A. No. 61/13/2025

titled Kafait Hussain Vs. State of J&K and Ors.. The said TAs was

disposed by this Tribunal vide order dated 01.09.2025 with the

following directions: -

“12. Upon perusal of the records, it is evident that the

applicants were appointed on a contractual basis.

Their appointment was governed by the terms and

conditions mentioned in the appointment order, which

clearly stipulated that the engagement was for a

period of one year on contract.

13. The case of the applicants is that they participated

in the selection process for regular appointments.

However, while a few candidates were given regular

appointments, the applicants were only appointed on a

contractual basis. The applicants contend that this

amounts to a violation of Article 14 of the Constitution

of India (Right to Equality).
