1. The applicant has preferred this First Bail Application under Section
483 of Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for grant of regular bail, as he has been arrested in connection with Crime No. 101/2025, registered at Police Station - Urga, District Korba, (C.G.) for the offence punishable under Sections 3 4(2) and 59(a) of the Chhattisgarh Excise Act and Sections 111 (2)(b) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 .
2. The prosecution story in brief, is that a raid was conducted on
02.04.2025 at a location where country-made Mahua liquor was being illegally manufactured. During the raid, co-accused Rajju RAHUL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by RAHUL DEWANGAN Dhanuhar was apprehended from the spot, and a substantial quantity of illicit liquor measuring 860 liters, along with utensils and motorcycles used in its manufacture, was seized. The applicant is alleged to have fled from the scene at the time of the raid. Subsequently, a charge-sheet was filed on 31.05.2025, naming the applicant as absconding, and a standing arrest warrant was issued against him. The applicant was later arrested
