HIGH COURT OF CHHATTISGARH AT BILASPUR CRA No. 1978 of 2025 Parasram Gayakwad & Another versus State of Chhattisgarh Order Sheet Vakalatnama/power by a counsel in a matter without there being any authorization for his appearance is highly deprecated. The Member Secretary, Chhattisgarh High Court Legal Services Committee, shall ensure in future that whenever any legal aid counsel is appointed, only the appointed counsel shall file his/her Vakalatnama/power, and no other unauthorized appearance shall be permitted.

In view of the above, Mr. H.S. Ahluwalia, learned counsel, is appointed as Amicus Curiae to argue the present case on behalf of the appellant.

I.A. No. 1 of 2025 is an application for condonation of delay of 23 days in preferring the appeal.

Since Mr. Saumya Rai, learned Deputy Government Advocate appearing for the respondent/State, has no objection to the condonation of delay, and considering that the accused has a statutory right to file an appeal and
