1. Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs:-

“(a) That this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to call for the entire records pertaining to the Petitioner's case from

the Respondents.

(b) That this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction to the Respondents to consider and decide the Petitioner's representation dated 05.03.2026 within a

stipulated time frame.

(c) That this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction to the Respondents to reschedule the Physical Standard Test (PST) of the Petitioner for the recruitment to the post of Subedar/Sub Inspector Cadre/Platoon Commander (Home Department) Examination. - 2024, on

such date as may be deemed fit.

(d) That in the alternative, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the Respondents to permit the Petitioner to appear directly in the Preliminary Examination or the next stage of the selection process, considering her previous qualifying records from the 2021

recruitment.

(e) That this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to award the cost of the petition

to the Petitioner.

(f) That this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the nature and circumstances of the

present case in the interest of justice.”

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submit that the petitioner

pursuant to the advertisement dated 21.10.2024 submitted an

application for appointment on the post of Sub Inspector. He

further submits that during the recruitment proceedings 1st

Stage is physical standard test. The petitioner was served with a notice for appearing on physical standard test scheduled on 20th January, 2026. It is his contention that unfortunately just 2 days before father of the petitioner was diagnosed with Cancer of advance stage and which needs emergent treatment. Petitioner being daughter who is taking care of her father has got engaged herself in taking care of the ailing father with serious decease, therefore, could not able to participate in physical standard test scheduled on 20th January, 2026. Subsequently, father of the petitioner died due to cancer decease. He contended that petitioner after providing the emergent medical treatment to her father has submitted an application before the respondent authority along with all supporting documents to provide one more opportunity for her physical standard test. The application has not been considered and decided, therefore, at this stage, direction may be issued to the concerned authorities to consider and take decision on the pending application/representation at the

earliest.

3. Learned counsel for the respective respondents submit that in

view of the limited prayer made by counsel for the petitioner they are having no objection, they however pointed out that the Committee is constituted for selection/recruitment of the Sub Inspector al
