1. Petitioner has filed this petition seeking following relief (s) :-

“10.1 This Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authority to come with all the records in the present case.

10.2 This Hon'ble Court may kindly be direct the respondent authority (Standing Screening Committee of CISF HQrs New Delhi) to decide the case of the petitioner within a period of 15 days for appointment on the post of Sub Inspector as per the provision of law and till the decision taken by the respondent authority, one post of Sub Inspector shall be kept vacant for the petitioner, in the interest of Justice.

10.3 This Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue any other order or orders, writ or writs, direction or directions as this Hon'ble court may deem fit in the facts and circumstances of the case in favor of the Petitioner, in the interest of justice.”

2. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner participaed in the recruitment proceedings for the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Force examination 2024. After completion of the recruitment proceedings, petitioner was issued an order of appointment dated 22.01.2025. Petitioner thereafter was directed to submit declaration form in which one of the column was whether any criminal case is registered against the petitioner or not. Petitioner has specifically mentioned in the declaration form that one criminal case was registered against the petitioner under Section 498-A read with 34 of IPC which was culminated into acquittal of the petitioner. After submission of the declaration Form and according to the instructions of petitioner, it was sent before the screening committee and decision of the screening committee is still pending consideration. As the case of the petitioner is pending consideration before the screening committee, petitioner was not permitted to join and therefore, direction be issued to the respondents to conclude the proceedings of the screening of the candidature of the petitioner and take decision at the earliest, and further direct the respondent authorities to permit the petitioner to join, pursuant to the order of appointment.

3. Counsel for the respondents submits that as the petitioner is only seeking direction to the respondent authorities to conclude the screening procedure, at the earliest, he is having no objection to the limited prayer.

4. On due consideration of submission of counsel for the parties, looking to the nature of grievance raised in this writ petition, this writ petition is disposed of at this stage directing concerned respondents to complete the procedure of the screening of candidature of the petitioner along with the declaration form and to pass appropriate orders thereafter, in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a further period of three weeks from the date of receipt of the Order.
