1. The challenge raised in the present writ petition is that the freezing order dated 28.02.2024, as confirmed by the Adjudicating Authority on 30.07.2024, restrained the petitioner companies from dealing with their shares and DEMAT accounts. Consequently, the petitioners are unable to sell, transfer, or manage their investments, leading to potential erosion in the value of the securities, and prayed for the following reliefs in the writ petition:-

“10.1 Allow the present petition and issue a writ or and/or in the nature of Mandamus, commanding the respondent authorities to permit the Petitioners and their Depository Participant i.e. Respondent No. 4 to dispose of and/or liquidate all the shares/investments through Enforcement Directorate, lying in the DMAT accounts of the Petitioners, so as to retain the attached value of listed entities at the current market
