Versus
THE CHAIRMAN CUM MANAGING DIRECTOR – Respondent
WPS No. 5043 of 2026

The court directed the administrative authority to decide a pending representation regarding allegations of fraudulent appointment within a stipulated timeframe, ensuring the principles of natural justice by granting a hearing to all affected parties.

Headnote:The petitioner approached the court seeking a direction to the authorities of South Eastern Coalfields Limited to decide upon a pending representation regarding the alleged appointment of a respondent through forged and fabricated documents, including a forged consent letter. The primary issue was whether the respondent authorities should be directed to consider and decide the petitioner's representation in accordance with law. The court observed the submission of the respondents that any pending representation would be decided after providing a hearing to all concerned parties. The present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents No. 1 to 4 to consider and decide the petitioner's pending representation, if the same is still pending, strictly in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording adequate opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and respondent No. 5.
