CENTRAL INFORMATION COMMISSION
DHEERAJ OBEROI – Appellant
Versus
National Housing Bank (NHB) – Respondent


ORDER

1. The Appellant filed an RTI application dated 25.02.2024 seeking information on the following points:

    (i) “As per your reply submitted 02/OCT/2019 AA NO. APP1/79/2019 where by in loan A/C NO. XXXXX1652. Your observation it is observed that the bifurcation of loan was done as per their letter dated 05.01.2012 50% of the principal outstanding excluding HSP of 163,117/- The same reply was confirm by HDFC LTD. But principal outstanding as per HDFC LTD. on deletion date was Rs. 24.06 LAC. HDFC Collected Rs. 10.40 LAC (Usha Oberoi) in above loan A/C and transferred Rs. 13.66 LAC in my A/C (Dheeraj Oberoi) kindly confirm the process of deletion is correct as per the statement given by NHB/ HDFC LTD.

2. The CPIO replied vide letter dated 27.03.2022 and the same is reproduced as under :-

    “As the information sought requires drawing of inferences and / or making of assumptions and giving advice of opinion, the National Housing Bank (NHB) has no information to furnish.”

3. Dissatisfied with the response received from the CPIO, the Appellant filed a First Appeal dated 04.04.2022 alleging that the information provided was incomplete
