1. The Appellant filed an RTI application dated 15.06.2022 seeking information on the following points:

(i) As per terms and conditions for TDS/STOR Sr No. 2, I am entitled for pre-mature payment subject to condition mentioned therein. Can the dealing official at SBI Mahesh Nagar Ambala Cantt refuse the pre mature payment, if so the rule position may please be provided?(ii) The matter is under correspondence with Min. of Finance, Govt. of India. My request not to deduct TDS, not taken into consideration by the Bank, reason thereof?

2. The CPIO replied vide letter dated 02.08.2022 and the same is reproduced as under:-

“The STDR in question in Tax Saving STDR which cannot be closed pre-maturely since locking period of the same is 5 years.”

3. Dissatisfied with the response received from the CPIO, the Appellant filed a First Appeal dated 18.08.2022 alleging that the information provided was incomplete, false and misleading. The FAA vide order dated 21.09.2022 directed the CPIO to relook his reply and provide an appropriate reply to Appellant.
