ORDER

1. The Appellant filed an RTI application dated 31.12.2021 seeking information on the following points:

(i) Tarriff Commission • PIO to provide a copy of the latest order of the Tarriff Commission, which affixes the sale rate or compensation, to the Bank Note Paper Mill India Private Limited (the mint) • PIO to provide a copy of the latest rate variation claim, submitted by the mint, to the Tarriff Commission (ii) Recycled Notes • PIO to state the value of currency notes, which were soiled or damaged which were recycled or repaired or reprinted, by the mint in the last 5 years.

o Year, Value of notes reprinted.

o Year, Value of notes recycled or repaired.

(iii) Annual Report • PIO to provide the annual report of Bank Note Paper Mill India Private Limited, for the last 5 years, in e-format if possible.

• Since this is a Section 4 disclosure, the information should be provided free of cost - by emailing to the applicant or sending it via a CD, etc./ other related information.

2. The CPIO replied vide letter dated 31.01.2022 and the same is reproduced as under:- (i) Tarriff Commission • BNMP is not a mint.
