ORDER

(16.05.2023) 1. The issue under consideration arising out of the second appeal dated 11.07.2021 include non-receipt of the following information sought by the appellant through the RTI application dated 24.07.2020 and first appeal dated 07.04.2021:-

QUERY – 1. “EMAIL Received FROM BANK OFFICIAL EMAIL ID cmbasr@unitedbank.co.in on Feb 28, 2020, 6:59PM In that email your bank official shri. Niranjan Mishra, Chief Manager, Bancassurance Dept, United Bank of India, Head Office, Kolkata clearly mention “Sorry for inconvenience. All policy holders during the period 2014-15 has been informed to contact Bank/nearby LIC office for further service”.

(A) His words which he mention in the email “Sorry for inconvenience. All policy holders during the period 2014-15 has been informed to contact Bank/nearby LIC office for further service”.

If YES means I want to know “WHO INFORMED TO THE CUSTOMERS TO CONTACT THE NEAR BY LIC OFFICE” UNITED BANK OF INDIA OR LIC OF INDIA??

If NO means then it is proved that you given FAKE INFORMATION TO ME….

(B) If you answered Yes for the Query 1.A) means then tell me “IN WHICH MODE YOU INFORMED THE CUSTOMERS BY EMAIL [SOFT COPY] OR LETTERS [HARD COPY]”

If you sent the EMAILS OR LETTERS means give me the copies because Why you sent the Email / Letter because of my reason only So, I have full rights to receive the letters / Email copies. If you [UBI] sent the Emails or Letter means Give me the copies with proper attestation If LIC OF INDIA sent the Emails or Letter means then receive the copies with proper attestation and hand over to me as per section 2 (f) of RTI act 2005.

QUERY – 2 In the above email your officer also mention the statement “(2) &(8) Issuance of Policy Bond is the risk & responsibility of the Ensurer not the duty of the distributor, and the policy is directly sent to the policy holder through Regd post.

The Rules and regulations were framed by the Insurer not the distributor”.

NOW I WANT TO KNOW:

(A) His words which he mention in the email “(2) & (8) Issuance of Policy Bond is the risk & responsibility of the Insurer not the duty of the distributor” Now I want to know who is the “DISTRIBUTOR” give me the name of the Distributor… (B) Also he mention in the email “and the policy is directly sent to the policy holder through Regd Post” Now tell me as a CPIO are you agreed his words if your officer words are true means I want the proof for that….

But I challenging you his words was wrong…. Listen I did not talk how they sent the bonds to other branches of LIC OF INDIA. I talk about my matter only in my branch I only hand over the original bonds to the bank branch head… But your bank official clearly mention “policy is directly sent to the policy holder through Regd post” Now via this RTI I want the strong proof…. For his words especially in my tenure which policy is sent to the customers via Register post prove it now give me the strong evidence.

QUERY – 3.

In that email he also mention “(6) & (7) Corporate agent is not responsible for internal structure & Policy of Insurer”.

For this query only your bank official given this reply Corporate agent is not responsible for internal structure & Policy of Insurer”.

NOW TELL ME:

A) As per this policy you [UBI] is the corporate agent YES OR NO??

B) Then why your bank name and contact no was not mention in that agency name and mobile number place?? C) For this policy who receive the commission you or me?

QUERY – 4 SEE THE BELOW SCREEN SHOT IMAGE [I SENT THE EMAIL TO SHRI. CH. S. S. MALLIKARJUNA RAO MD & CEO., on Jul 22, 2020, 12:00 PM in following email id md@pnb.co.in and other higher official email ids of Punjab National Bank.
