The Appellant filed an RTI application dated 10.12.2022 seeking the following information:

“1. How many inspectors are posted on loan basis in Rohtak, Panchkula Gurugram, Hissar, Faridabad and Chandigarh. Please give detail station wise.

2. How many inspectors are posted on compassionate ground in Gurugram, Rohtak, Panchkula, Hissar, Faridabad and Chandigarh. Please give detail station wise.

3. How many cases pending before Chief Disabled commission of Indian regarding handicapped employee. Please give detail.

4. How many Female Inspector whose maximum service is Faridabad and Gurugram.

5. How many Senior Tax Assistant as an ex- Service man working in north western region.

6. Whether ex- Service men liaison officer was appointed in NWR region or not if yes, please give with address and contract detail.

7. Any filed representation pending regarding Ex- Service men department post of senior Tax assistant. in this?

8. How many Female Inspector whose husband is posted in same Department in station Rohtak, Panchkula Gurugram, Hissar, Faridabad and Chandigarh. Please give detail only station (no. of employees) not mentioned name and personal detail.

9. How many Female Inspector whose husband is not serving in state government and central Government in station Rohtak, Panchkula Gurugram, Hissar, Faridabad and Chandigarh. Please give detail station wise.

10. In which Ground, Emp. No. 166085, Smt. Pooja Yadav (Income Tax Inspector), Her entire service has been in Gurugram and Faridabad. They were transferred to Faridabad vide office order no. 65 of 2021 vide letter no. Pr. CCIT/NWR/CB-II & III/AGT-2021/ITI/27/2021-22/861 dated 21.10.221 subsequently she joined Months of January, Further, order number 83 of 2022 vide letter no. F.No. Pr. CCIT/NWR/CB-II& III/T&P/AGT/2022/ITI/127/2022- 23/752 dated 24.08.2022. Again, it was made to posted Gurugram. Please give reason.

11. How is sh. Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, Income Tax Inspector, (Current posting is ITO ward-1(4), Faridabad) has remained at Faridabad station continuously for 21 years. (from 2001 to till date). Please give reason.

12. How many Inspectors was going to study leave in Gurugram, Chandigarh, Faridabad, Panchkula and Rohtak. Please give detail station wise.

13. Have any inspector been posted in place of the inspectors who have gone on study leave? If yes please give no. in Station Gurugram, Chandigarh, Faridabad, Panchkula and Rohtak.”

The CPIO furnished a reply to the Appellant on 22.12.2022 stating as under: 1. “The information sought by the applicant is an internal matter of the department and relates to the personal information of its employees covered by the exemption under section 8(1)(j) of the RTI Act.

As per section 8(1)(j) of the RTI Act, only that part of information related to the government officials can be made public which is related to public activity. The applicant has not shown/established as to how a information sought by him serves in the larger public interest.

Therefore, the information sought cannot be provided.

4. The information sought by the applicant is an internal matter of the department and relates to the personal information of its employ
