The Appellant filed an RTI application dated 03.09.2023 seeking information on following points:-
“With respect to the Notification No. 3096-G-dated the 16th December, 2021, of Honourable Calcutta High court, regarding the Rules for online electronic filing (e-Filing). framed by the Honourable Calcutta High Court (copy attached as Annex 1), the following information are hereby requested:-
(1) Being an Indian citizen and resident of West Bengal state, whether I am eligible to electronically file fresh/new cases of writ of mandamus/habeas corpus or file an Appeal against the order of lower court as Litigant-in-person in accordance to the Rule-3.2 at page-125, of electronic filing (e-Filing) rules of Honourable Calcutta High Court?
(2) In the aforesaid notification No. 3096-G-dated the 16th December, 2021, of Honourable Calcutta High court, at page-131, details of necessary procedures related to electronic filing (e-Filing) of cases is mentioned to be given in Appendix- I to VI, but the Appendix documents are not available with the notification. Please provide me web-link from where the Appendix documents can be accessed.
(3) Please provide me the information regarding total court fee required for electronic filing (e-Filing) of fresh/new cases and cases of Appeal before Honourable Calcutta High court.
Dissatisfied with the non-0response received from the CPIO, the Appellant filed a First Appeal dated Nil which was not adjudicated by the FAA as per available records.
Aggrieved and dissatisfied, the Appellant approached the Commission with the instant Second Appeal.

Decision:
Upon the perusal of the case records & submissions, the Commission noted that the CPIO had provided an appropriate reply to the Appellant vide letter dated 30.1.2024 & 31.1.2024. No further action lies.
The Appeal stands disposed off.
