3. Being dissatisfied, the Appellant filed a First Appeal dated 05-12-2024.

The FAA vide its order dated 09-01-2025, upheld the reply given by the CPIO.

4. Feeling aggrieved and dissatisfied, Appellant approached the Commission

with the instant Second Appeal.

Relevant Facts emerged during Hearing:

The following were present:-

Appellant: Absent.

Respondent: Mr. Arindham Bagchi, CPIO, attended the hearing through video

conference.

5. The Respondent submitted, that the appellant sought information

regarding the compensation amount paid to the land owners, whose land had

been acquired for a pipeline project. The respondent also submitted, that the

appellant’s name is not amongst the list of persons, whose land had been

acquired. Hence, the sought information regarding the compensation details,

inspection report does not pertain to the appellant, and the same is exempted

U/s 8(1)(j) of the RTI Act, 2005.

6. Written submission dated 01.07.2026, filed by the respondent is taken on

record.

Decision:

7. The Commission, after adverting to the facts and circumstances of the

case, hearing the respondent and perusal of the records, observes that the FAA

gave an appropriate reply to the appellant, vide order dated 09.01.2025, as per

the RTI Act, 2005. Therefore, no further intervention of the Commission is

required. Accordingly, the appeal is dismissed.

Copy of the decision be provided free of cost to the parties.
