The case of the Petitioner is that Shri Harkishan Lal Kapoor, the
predecessor of the Petitioner had purchased the shop bearing no.1349, Qutub
Road, Mandi Pan, Sadar Bazar, Delhi in 1959. The said sale is also stated to
have been recognized by a sale certificate in the Supplementary Book No. I
Volume No.200 on Page no. 25 dated 25th June, 1966. The Petitioner took
the property on rent from Mr. Harkishan Lal Kapoor and is in possession
since then. An agreement was entered into to sell the said shop to the
Petitioner.

The grievance of the Petitioner is that Respondent - Sub Registrar,
Kashmere Gate has refused to register the sale document as it is confusing
the address of the shop of the Petitioner with shop no. 1349, Ward No. VI,
