ORDER

% 09.02.2024 1. Mr. R. Siva Kumar, counsel for Defendants, is present, but makes a request for the hearing to be adjourned stating that he has to travel this evening to attend a family wedding.

Considering the ground for adjournment, which is not opposed, the request is allowed.

2. Mr. Aniruddh Bakhru, counsel for Plaintiffs, submits that written submissions have already been filed, however, to better assist the Court, the Plaintiffs shall be filing a concise version thereof. Let the same be filed at least two weeks before the next date of hearing. The Defendants are also permitted to file their brief note of submissions within the above timeline.

Copies of the notes of submissions shall be e-mailed to the Court Master in advance.

3. As suggested, the parties are also permitted to file a joint convenience file containing the relevant pleadings, evidence, and documents that they seek to rely upon. In order to avoid duplication, at the first instance, the Plaintiff shall prepare the convenience file and exchange the same with the Defendants’ counsel, who may then supplement the same in case any relevant material has been left out.

4. Further, after interacting with the counsel, the following timelines are set for the final hearing:

(a) Mr. Bakhru shall complete his opening submissions in 45 minutes. (b) Mr. Kumar shall complete his submissions in 45 minutes. (c) An additional time of 15 minutes will be allocated to the Plaintiff for rejoinder submissions.

5. The Court suggests both the counsel to adhere to the above timelines for expeditious disposal of the suit.
