2. The present execution petition has been filed seeking execution of the ‘Worldwide Freezing Order’ passed on 27th March, 2024 by the King’s Bench Division of the High Court of Justice of England and Wales, subsequently confirmed on 12th April, 2024. The aforesaid order was passed in a civil action initiated by the petitioner against the respondents.

3. I have heard the counsels for the parties briefly.

4. The question which arises for consideration is whether a Worldwide Freezing Order, which, prime facie, is in the nature of an interim order can be executed in terms of Section 44A of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (CPC).

5. Both sides shall file written submissions along with judgments in support within four weeks from today.
