1. The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking setting aside of order dated 21.02.2024 passed by Deputy Secretary (Home) whereby petitioner’s request for parole was found to be not covered by Rule 1211 of the Delhi Prison Rules, 2018 and consequently rejected the same.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had earlier approached this Court vide W.P.(CRL) 2556/2022 with a similar prayer, which came to be allowed vide order dated 25.01.2023. A copy of the said order has also been placed on record.

Learned ASC for State accepts notice and submits that the petitioner is a convict under Section 6 POCSO Act and that he has been sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for life alongwith a fine of Rs.5,000/-.
