3. The present petition has been filed by the Petitioner/Claimant-M/s Ramacivil India Construction Pvt. Ltd. under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of mandate of the ld. Arbitrator.

4. It is the case of the Petitioner that on 30th December, 2013 the Respondent-Delhi State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (DSIIDC) awarded the work of ‘Construction of Academic Building, Fashion Centre & Hostel at National Institute of Fashion Technology (in short NIFT), Hauz Khas Institutional Area, New Delhi’ to the Petitioner. Disputes arose between the parties and a sole arbitrator was appointed on 10th October, 2019 in terms of Clause 25 of the agreement, as mentioned in paragraph no. 4 of the petition. The ld. Sole Arbitrator entered reference on 2nd November, 2019. The mandate of the ld. Arbitrator expires on 28th March, 2024. Ld. Counsel for the Respondent has no objection in extending the mandate of the ld. Arbitrator.
