1. This is an appeal under Section 37 (2)(b) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996, “the1996Act”,hereinafter [$~42] directed against an order dated 15 July 2024, passed by the Arbitral Tribunal presently in seisin of the disputes between the appellant and the respondent, under Section 16 of the 1996 Act. The impugned order rejects the application filed by the appellant, as the respondent before the Arbitral Tribunal, to implead the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, [2“theMNRE”,hereinafter], Government of India, as an additional party in the arbitral proceedings.

2. I have heard Mr. Chandra Prakash, learned counsel for the appellant and Mr. Sanjoy Ghose, learned Senior Counsel for the respondent, at length.
