1. Present petition has been filed by the Delhi High Court Bar Association seeking issuance of directions to the Respondents to take immediate steps, in a time bound manner, to provide additional space for infrastructural requirement and expansion of the Delhi High Court including Delhi High Court Bar Association as well as court rooms, lawyers chambers, parking space, record room facilities and other allied activities by redevelopment of adjacent land at Bapa Nagar, Zakir Hussain Road, New Delhi, which has old residential quarters for the Government Employees.

The Petitioners further pray for issuance of directions to the Respondents to hand over possession of entire land of Bapa Nagar, New Delhi for infrastructural needs and expansion of Delhi High Court including Delhi High Court Bar Association, by relocating the existing occupants of the residential quarters of Bapa Nagar, New Delhi, to any newly constructed / under constructed complex in any of the General Pool Residential Accommodation (‘GPRA’) Schemes.
