The Petitioner has filed the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950 read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023,, [“BNSS”] seeking protection of his life and liberty. The Petitioner also seeks directions restraining Respondent Nos. 3 and 4, police officials at P.S. Ghazipur, from harassing him.

The Petitioner’s primary grievance is directed against Respondent Nos. 3 and 4, who are alleged to be shielding certain anti-social elements operating in the vicinity of the Petitioner’s residence.
