1. The present Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code 1973 („hereinafter Cr.P.C.‟) has been filed on behalf of the Petitioner seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ seeking to quash FIR No. 234/2024 under Section 30 of the Arms Act 1959 (hereinafter the „Act, 1959‟) registered at P.S. IGI Airport and proceedings arising therefrom.

2. Briefly stated, the Petitioner is a citizen of India. The present FIR was registered on 01.04.2024, based on the complaint of an officer posted at IGI Airport, Security, namely Sh. Lalit Kishore Bunkar.

3. On 27.03.2024 at about 05:37 Hrs., while travelling from New Delhi to Lucknow by flight number I5-548, during the scanning of the baggage at IGI Airport, one live cartridge was recovered from the Petitioner‟s bag.
