1. This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of BNSS, 2023, for quashing the order F.10(003538835)/SCJ-8/LEGAL/PHQ/2024/5340 dated 04.09.2025, passed by the Office of Director General of Prisons, Tihar, and for directions to the respondent to grant the petitioner 1st spell of furlough for a period of 21days. 2. Brief facts of the present case are that the petitioner herein was convicted in case FIR bearing RC No. S/1, 2005-S0024, registered at PS Delhi Cantt., for offence under Sections147/148/302/149/436/153A(1) & (b)/295 of IPC and vide order on sentence dated 09.05.2013, he has been sentenced as under:-

“1. U/S: 302/149 IPC:-Life Imprisonment with fine Rs.1,000/-, I/D 06 Months RI.

2. U/S: 147 IPC:- 02 Years RI.

3. U/S: 148 IP
