1. The instant petition under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed by the petitioners praying for quashing of FIR No. 238/2025 registered at Police Station Amar Colony for the offences punishable under Sections 115(2)/126(2)/74/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (hereinafter “BNS”).

2. The brief facts of the case pertains to a neighbourhood dispute dated 24.04.2025, at around 3:30 PM, arising out of an altercation over switching off electricity to the respondent no. 2’s basement. It was alleged that the petitioners assaulted respondent no. 2 and her husband by pushing, pulling hair and hitting them. Subsequent to which, FIR No. 238/2025 was registered.
