1. This hearing has been done through hybrid mode.
2. The present petition under Section 215 of the Constitution of India read with Sections 11 and 12 of the Contempt of the Court Act, 1971, seeks the following prayers: -
“In the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, it is, therefore, respectfully prayed that this HonlDle Court may kindly be pleased to initiate proceedings for contempt of this HonTDle Court against the Contemnors and prosecute them in accordance with law for willful disobedience of order dt.11.08.201] passed in W.P.(C) No.3722/2017, titled as "Iqbal Singh Vs. Delhi Development Authority and Ors.".
AND/OR PASS ANY OTHER FURTHER ORDER WHICH THIS HON'BLE COURT MAY DEEM JUST FIT AND PROPER, IN THE FACTS AND CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE CASE, IN FAVOUR OF THE PETITIONER.”
3. Vide order dated 11.08.2017 in W.P.(C) 3722/2017, learned Division Bench of this Court while disposing of the C.M. APPL. No. 28877/2017 (for restoration), passed the following order: -
“ Learned counsel for the petitioner states that he does not wish to to file a suit - in view of the liberty granted on 03.07.2017, but that instead representation would be made.
The application is disposed of in terms of his statement. If such representation is made, the same shall be decided within two weeks.
The application is disposed of.”
4. It is pointed out vide letter dated 09.12.2020, DDA had decided the representation of the petitioner in the following terms: -

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of LAC, on instructions, submits that as of today compliance of Section 4, 5, 6, 7 of the RFCTLARR Act, 2013 has duly been carried out and published and Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor has approved the acquisition on 10.07.2025, enabling further steps under Sections 8 and 11 of the said Act. He further submits that Public notice under Sections 8(3) has already been issued and a draft Preliminary Notification under Section 11 has been prepared and vetted from the Department of Law and Justice and forwarded to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor for approval through the Land and Building Department.
6. Necessary email dated 09.02.2026 has been handed up in the Court today and taken on record.
7. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with the liberty to the petitioner to take appropriate steps with respect to the aforesaid decision and subsequent events, in accordance with law before the Court/Forum of competent jurisdiction.
8. The present petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
9. Pending application(s), if any, also stand disposed of.
