13.12.2024 Heard Mr. N J Dutta, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. B Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam, for the State.

2) The petitioner, namely, Jaynob Khatun, wife of Jahedul Islam, resident of village Kaurpara, P.S.-Gobardhana, District-Barpeta has filed this application under Section 483 BNSS, 2023, seeking her bail in Rangia Police Station Case No. 276/2024, registered under Section 112(2)(b) BNS, 2023 read with Section 21(b) of the NDPS Act, 1985, corresponding to G.R. No.

744/2024, wherein, he was arrested on 14.10.2024 and is in custody since then.

3) As per the FIR dated 14.10.2024, lodged by one Sub Inspector of Police before the Officer-in-Charge of Rangia Police Station, the case is that on that day at about 6:00 AM, reliable information was received from source that Narcotics would be transported from Silchar to Rangia by a lady courier, via the Silchar-Rangia Express.
