Date : 27.09.2024 Heard Mr. M.K. Choudhury, learned Senior counsel assisted by Mr. M. Khan, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. D.P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.
2. By this application filed under section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraskha Sanhita, 2023 , the accused petitioners namely, (i) Khalilur Rahman @ Kholilur Rahman (ii) Abdul Karim Mondal (iii) Jamal Uddin (iv) Abdul Bachit, have prayed for bail in connection with Lakhipur P.S. Case No. 224/2024 under Section 61(2)/316(5)/318(3)(4) of BNS, 2023 r/w Section 21(1)(2)(3)/22/23 of Banning Unregulated Deposit Scheme, 2019 .
3. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the accused-petitioners that the petitioners have been detained in custody since 05.09.2024. It is also submitted that Petitioner No. 1 is the proprietor of Rupohi Micro Finance Private Ltd. which is a registered company and the other petitioners are collectors of the said company. The petitioners are operating micro finance company and according to their established norms, which require customers to open accounts, and passbooks have been issued to them.
