Heard Mr. I.H. Saikia, learned counsel for the petitioners; Mr. D. Bhattacharjee, learned Standing Counsel, APDCL, i.e., respondent Nos.1,2 and 3; Mr. P.K. Roy, learned counsel for respondent Nos.4 and 5 and Mr. S.R. Baruah, learned Govt. Advocate, Assam.
2. By filing this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioners seek a direction to the respondents to pay them compensation of Rs. 15 lakhs with interest as well as for a direction to respondent Nos.4 and 5 to pay the admissible dues of the deceased to the petitioners with interest.
3. Petitioner No.1 is Smt. Ritu Mani Rabha, wife of the deceased Sukumar Rabha @ Kumar Rabha and petitioner No.2 is the father of the deceased. Case of the petitioners is that late Sukumar Rabha @ Kumar Rabha was working at Accoland Amusement Private Ltd., an amusement park, situated at Rani on the outskirts of the city of Guwahati. It is stated that Sukumar Rabha used to earn a salary of Rs.4000/- per month from the Accoland authorities on the basis of which he was maintaining his family.
