UJJAL BHUYAN, J This writ appeal is directed against the judgment and order of the learn ed Single Judge dated 09.04.2009 dismissing WP(C) No. 6182/2007 filed by the app ellant along with other connected cases.

2. Appellant was the writ petitioner in WP(C) No. 6182/2007. Case o f the appellant as projected in the writ petition was that an advertisement was issued by the Government of Assam in the Education Department in the year 1988, inviting applications from eligible candidates for appointment as Assistant Teac her in the intermediate cadre in different provincialized high/higher secondary schools of the State. By notification dated 22.02.1988 of the Education Departme nt, a District Level Selection Board, Kamrup was constituted. At that time, thou gh the Kamrup district was divided and Nalbari district was created, no separate inspectorate for Nalbari district was created. The Inspector of Schools, Kamrup District Circle was the controlling authority in respect of Nalbari district as well.
