2. By filing this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents for grant of the following relie f(s):

(i) For re-assessment and re-evaluation of the answer script of the petition er by appointing the independent expert as examiner for reevaluation of the answ er scripts of the petitioner relating to the written test held by the respondent s on 28.12.2008 for the post of Sub-Inspector, Food & Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs; and (ii) Accept the re-evaluated marks, after examination and assessment of the t emped answer scripts as correct and thereafter make a way for appointment of the petitioner and upon hearing the parties and on perusal of the records be please d to make the Rule absolute; and (b) a writ in the nature of certiorari should not be issued calling upon the respondents for transmit the relevant record; and (c) in the interim the respondents may be directed to keep one post of Sub-I nspector, Food & Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Assam vacant til
