ORDER

Date : 23-11-2022 Heard Mr. S. Munir, learned counsel for the petitioner Iftakur Rahman who has filed an application under Section 438 Cr.P.C. with prayer for pre-arrest bail as he is apprehending arrest in connection with Hatigaon P.S. Case No. 474/2022 under Sections

406/420/419/468/506 of the Indian Penal Code.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that Rafiqul Islam, Ariful Ali and Ataur Rahman were informed by Salim Ahmed who was engaged in the Social Welfare Department as an employee about a man named Iftakur Rahman. Salim Ahmed informed the informants Rafiqul Islam and Ataur Rahman that Iftakur and his mother-in-law Jina Begum @ Bharti Barua @ Bina Barua could help them in procuring employment in the Social Welfare Department. Iftakur introduced himself as a Director of Social Welfare Department and he also requested them to arrange for more boys and he promised to provide employment to the other boys in the Social Welfare Department at a lesser cost. On being assured, they paid for employment as LDA to the tune of Rs. 7 lacs, and Rs. 5 lacs for Fourth Grade posts.
