Heard Ms. S. Sharma, learned Legal Aid Counsel for the appellant. Also heard Mr. D. Das, learned P.P. for the State of Assam.
2. This appeal is preferred by the accused-appellant Shri Sanjib Bhumij (hereinafter referred to as the accused) with prayer to set at naught the Judgment & Order dated 25.06.2021 of the Sessions Judge in Sessions Case No. 202/2013. In this case the accused was convicted and sentenced to Imprisonment for Life under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC for short) and to pay a fine of Rs. 20,000/- with default stipulation.
