ORDER

Date : 13-02-2018 Heard Mr. B. Borah, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. B.

D. Deka, learned counsel appearing for the caveator/respondent.

This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is directed against the order dated 20.11.2017, passed by the learned Civil Judge No. 3, Kamrup (M), in Title Suit No. 56/16, whereby evidence of the defendant was closed.

The learned counsel for the parties submit that the suit was filed under the Assam Urban Areas Rent Control Act, 1972.

The respondent had filed the aforesaid suit for ejectment of the defendant from the suit premises by removing the defendant with all her men and materials therefrom, recovery and delivery of possession of the suit premises to the plaintiff, realization of Rs. 2,21,000.00 for arrear rent, realization of future monthly rent with interest @18% per month until ejectment of the defendant from the suit premises, damages to the tune of Rs. 5,00,000.00 for the inconvenience and harassment caused to the plaintiff and the cost of the suit, etc.
