ORDER

16.12.2022 Heard Mr. J. Hussain, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. A.K. Das, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. B. Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent State of Assam.

2. By this application under Section 438, Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 [CrPC], the petitioner viz. Barasha Kalita has approached this Court seeking the benefit of pre-arrest bail, apprehending her arrest, in connection with CID Police Station Case no. 5/2022, registered under Sections 120B/420/468/471, Indian Penal Code [IPC] with Section 467, IPC added later on.

3. Mr. Hussain, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner was one of the candidates in the recruitment process undertaken for filing up the posts of Constables in Assam Police and she had submitted a computer efficiency certificate with regard to Diploma in Computer Software wherein she secured Grade-B. The vocational training centre wherein the petitioner undertook the course is “Dr. Ambedkar Mission, Assam, Changsari Branch”. Mr. Hussain has further submitted the petitioner is a graduate having passed the same from Sipajhar College.
