ORDER

11.08.2025 Heard Mr. R. Islam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. K.K. Parasar, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor.

This is an application for release of the petitioner on bail in connection with Agamoni P.S Case No. 12/2025 (Corresponding to G.R Case No. 129/2025) under Section 13 (1) of the Assam Cattel Preservation Act, 2021. The FIR dated 27.01.2025 reflects that on the same date one Shri Ranjit Adhikary informed that the petitioner had loaded 200 kgs of suspected beef in a four wheeler car on its way to Dhubri from Bengal side for selling thereof. It is further reflected in the FIR that the local people intercepted the vehicle and during the same, the driver of the vehicle locked the car with the meat inside and fled and that thereafter, the local people broke the windshield and rear glasses and subsequently, the police was informed and the case was registered as Agomani P.S Case No. 12/2025 under Section 13 (1) of the Assam Cattle Preservation Act .
